Most of us weren't taught bereavement skills in our coaching programs. But if you coach long enough, one of your clients is going to need your support.

That's why I'm offering a low-cost consult to coaches who could use a bit on mentoring on showing up for a grieving client.

You can get help with

Holding space for your own emotional reactions to their situations.
Adapting your coaching techniques to grief so you feel confident that you're offering the type of help they need.
Creating post-session strategies to help you process your own feelings after their session ends.
Deciding whether their grief situation is within your scope of practice or if they need a referral.

Why I Offer These Sessions

When I was a new coach, I often wished for a way to talk with a more experienced coach for advice and reassurance for various situations.

After being in the coaching world for five years, I've come to realize that new and even experienced coaches can feel anxious and unsure when a client shows up with difficult news, like a loved one's death or their own terminal diagnosis.

I'm deeply committed to grieving people and I want to be sure the professionals in their lives know how to support them.

Meet Cindy Olney

Hi there.

I'm Cindy Olney, PhD, a coach specializing in grief, loss, and major life transitions. I have a PhD in educational psychology and am certified as a life coach and end-of-life doula.
